Mission Statement

The Vascular Access Society of the Americas (VASA) is a multidisciplinary alliance of healthcare professionals—including surgeons, nephrologists, interventional radiologists, nurses, technicians, and researchers—dedicated to elevating every aspect of dialysis access. We empower our members to excel through cutting-edge education, rigorous research, and standards-driven advocacy, fostering a collaborative environment committed to advancing patient care.

At the core of our mission is the cultivation of a vibrant exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge. By convening experts annually and offering ongoing CME, webinars, and practicum opportunities, VASA promotes continuous learning and the dissemination of novel insights into vascular access science and practice.

VASA serves as a unified voice for the entire dialysis-access community. We speak on behalf of professionals working across diverse settings—clinical practice, research, and industry—and engage with medical institutions, policymakers, and private entities to champion funding, public policy, and clinical guidelines that reflect the needs of patients and providers.

Finally, we actively build bridges with public and private organizations that share our vision. Through strategic partnerships and joint initiatives, VASA amplifies its impact, accelerating innovation and standardizing best practices to deliver safer, more effective vascular access solutions for individuals living with end‑stage renal disease.
