If you are interested in shaping the future of dialysis access, then we encourage you to become involved in VASA leadership

Promoting dialysis access through educational and research activities.

A peer-reviewed journal published six times a year, reporting clinical and laboratory studies in the field of vascular access.
The Vascular Access Society of the Americas (VASA) is a multidisciplinary professional organization dedicated to advancing the care of patients who require vascular access, particularly for dialysis. Founded in 2004, VASA brings together a diverse group of healthcare professionals—including vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, nephrologists, and nurses—who share a commitment to improving outcomes for patients through education, research, and clinical excellence.
Central to VASA’s mission is the promotion of best practices in vascular access through a variety of initiatives. The organization hosts an annual scientific meeting that features cutting-edge research, hands-on workshops, and expert-led sessions focused on innovation and clinical improvement. Additionally, VASA provides continuing medical education (CME) opportunities and supports ongoing research that contributes to evidence-based practices in the field.
We’re sorry we missed you at VASA’s 2026 Vascular Access for Dialysis Symposium, held at the beautiful Hilton Salt Lake City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. This year’s symposium brought together leading physicians, clinicians, and industry professionals for several days of engaging presentations, hands-on learning opportunities, and meaningful discussions focused on advancing vascular access care for dialysis patients.
The program featured expert-led sessions covering the latest techniques, emerging technologies, clinical best practices, and innovative approaches shaping the future of vascular access management. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with peers and collaborate with professionals from across the country who share a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
We truly appreciate your interest in VASA events and hope you’ll join us next year for the 2027 Practicum. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing another outstanding educational experience with the vascular access community.
